"Cheryl and I are Minnesotans by birth, Mississippians by choice. The State of Mississippi's beauty is a well kept secret that one must experience to believe," comments Ken Cardinal. Cheryl and Ken moved from Wabasha, Minnesota to the Mississippi Gulf Coast where they found their new home.

Comprised of several individual communities and 26 miles of scenic coastline, the Mississippi Gulf Coast is an area with a personality all its own and offers something for everyone. The Cardinals are enjoying all these amenities. "The large variety of activities gives everyone a choice, such as golfing, fishing, great dining, theater, parades, festivals and the lists goes on and on," state Cheryl and Ken. The Cardinals take full advantage of all their choices in this coastal community but also enjoy the quiet streets and beautiful landscaping where antebellum homes line the beach, and tremendous live oaks grow along the sandy shores.

The Cardinals have a great mix of neighbors and the mild climate is also a wonderful benefit. This former Minnesota couple feels quite at home in their new community on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Lucy Bickham - Lucy lives in Gulfport and is retired civil service. She is very knowledgeable about volunteer activities and organizations, including Senior Olympics and Institute for Learning in Retirement.

June Krohn - June is a Gulf Coast "native" and retired from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. She enjoys many diverse activities including volunteering, sewing, and needleart. June resides one mile from the beach in East Gulfport.

Bob & Elaine Miner - Bob is retired Air Force and is originally from Massachusetts. Elaine is a retired teacher and grew up in Collins, Mississippi. The Miners reside in Biloxi.
