Seniors
are a valuable asset to non-profit organizations whose limited
budgets and staffs appreciate an extra set of helping hands. Seniors
have the life experience that makes them a treasured resource. Many
seniors find the opportunity to volunteer a rewarding way to keep
active, stay involved in their community and share the life lessons
they've learned along the way. Flexibility is another feature of
volunteering. There are a variety of organizations that could use
a few hours of your help and would be grateful for your time whether
you would like to help on occasion, monthly or weekly.
RSVP,
the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, matches interested
seniors ages 55 and up with a variety of Coast organizations who
need help. RSVP volunteers choose how and where they want to serve.
